Task Overview: We have just received a phone call from a local author, who is looking for documentation of things he refers to in his upcoming book. Finding this documentation means going through newspapers from about 1970 to 2010 and making scans of relevant articles. We do have some newspaper indexes which will help to a certain extent. You don’t need to go through all those newspapers yourself – if you can do even a few years’ worth, that will help! Or, come in with a group of people – each of you can tackle a different bound volume of papers.
Job Type: One Time
Suitable for: Individuals / Job-Sharing
Schedule: The author needs this information really quickly – by the middle of December, 2017. The actual hours you work are pretty much up to you; just let us know when you can come in and we’ll have a space for you to work.
Requirements: All you need is an interest in reading through old newspapers! We’ll show you how to use the scanner – but if you’d rather not gt into technology, you could just mark the pages and we’ll take care of it from there.
