Task Overview: School tours often involve some kind of hands-on activity – taking a spelling lesson in the schoolhouse, for example, making a pie in a jar, or drawing a map of what they think a pioneer homestead would look like. Sometimes it’s as simple as playing an old-fashioned game like hopscotch or hoop-rolling. We are building a roster of people interested in guiding the students through these and other activities.
Job Type: Periodic
Suitable for: Individuals / Teams / High School Students
Schedule: Most of our school tours take place in May and June, with a growing number taking place in September and October. Each tour takes about two hours. When we get a booking, we can contact you to check your availability.
Requirements: Must enjoy working with school-age children. Patience and enthusiasm are essential. We have several activities already prepared and ready to go, so all you need to do is learn how to deliver them (and they’re all pretty easy) – but we are always looking for ideas, so if you want to create something new, we’d love to hear about it!
