Or head over to the Pioneer Homestead to test your pioneer life skills; try your hand at laundry (the elbow grease way), perhaps make a small article of clothing, or even leave with a tasty snack of your own making!

All participants will need to supply their own lunches, and sunscreen/hats/sunglasses are reccomended.

(*New* for 2016 curriculum changes)

Time: ~45min

Classes are divided up into smaller groups for maximum learning to fun ratio!

We’ll explore the foundation of a Castle, take a look at why fruit trees and farms are so important to the valley, check out the model trains, and even do some learning in a school house over a century old!

(and this is just the start!)

Students also do a scavenger hunt, matching ancestor objects with modern objects.

This tour is adaptable to any age, from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

We love to play just as much as the next person!

Each of our games and activities are crafted to be active, engaging, and educational…and of course fun! Led by our awesome and knowledgeable summer staff, students will have a blast and leave with some newly acquired smarts!

Some of the games offered include:

-Scavenger Hunts

-‘Game of Life’ style Orchard and Local Industry interactive & board games

-Large 3-D cabin puzzle made out of pool noodles

-Harrow rigged up for timed partner races

We accomodate all ages, or if you have a particular topic you are covering we would love to work with you to get your class moving and learning!

Who needs a clunky ol’ time machine to explore and learn about the past?

The Museum has you covered!

Students will experience some of the daily routines and necessities it took to make it in the Creston Valley in the early 1900’s, from mundane house chores to animal husbandry & carpentry…and just maybe, get to make a delicious treat at the end!

Time varies based on number of students and topics covered. Please contact us to set up your Pioneer Lessons!

Go back to 1927 in our historic one room School House.

Be prepared for health drill! (are those fingernails really clean?)

We can cover various English lessons, Geography, Social Studies (can you match names to all the Prime Ministers portraits?), and even compare and contrast school nearly a century ago to today’s modern learning.

Various packages available for either the school house or in your own classroom. Give us a shout for more information and details!
