The Creston & District Historical & Museum Society
There are many ways you can help us preserve your history. You can visit, send or bring your friends and family down to visit, attend events, make a purchase in the gift shop, buy a membership or purchase a memorial stone – all those revenues help support our work. If you want to make a larger contribution here are some suggestions:
Volunteer Your Time
Volunteering at the Creston Museum lets you dive into the past and really dig around. You get up-close-and-personal with one-of-a-kind objects. You travel back in time through old photographs and newspapers. You get to meet all sorts of fascinating people. You go behind-the-scenes, and make it come to life. You build exhibits (and sometimes take them down). You hear stories, write stories, tell stories. You can do all of it, or any of it. You can share the knowledge you’ve gained over a lifetime, or you can try something new.
Your financial support is always greatly appreciated. You can contribute to our general operations and leave it up to us how to use your contribution or you can specify what you’d like us to do with it. There’s a whole bunch of things we’re either working on or planning at any given time, so please give us a call to discuss your wishes.
Donate Historical Objects
We do local Creston Valley history. If you have artifacts, photographs, documents, maps, or other objects that reflect the history of the Creston Valley, we’d like to hear about it – especially if it’s unique or really special!
We don’t have a cut-off date – it doesn’t have to be a minimum age to be of interest. It does need to have current historical value to the Creston Valley however, no matter how old or recent it is.
