The model railway’s trains at the Creston Museum\, that is! \nThe Seventh Siding Trackers Model Railway Club at the Creston Museum has been busily upgrading tracks and adding details – and now they’re hosting a special pre-Christmas Open House so you can check it out! \nSunday\, December 8 \n10:00 – 3:00 PM \nAdmission free – but donations are very much appreciated! \nInterested in joining the club and trying your hand/getting back into/doing more model railroading? The members of the Club will be glad to fill you in!

DESCRIPTION:Here at the Creston Museum\, we’re always receiving new donations of stuff connected to local history. \nOne of our most recent donations is a collections of several dozen photographs\, all from the 1940s to 1960s\, and most of them we haven’t been able to identify. \nLike this one: \n \nI have to admit\, this one’s intriguing! Look at the size of that parade – on an evidently cold winter’s day! And all the signs encouraging people to come out and cheer while Creston thoroughly trounced Kimberley at…something. But what? What was the event?
