I think I literally just heard a whole bunch of hands shooting up.
Today’s Museum Week theme is “Together” – so let’s get together! Safely and distancedly, of course.
We are working hard to put in place all the measures we need to open up the Museum while still keeping people safe. That’s progressing really well, and we should have a very-good-news announcement for you in a few days.
In the meantime, who’d like a free, just-for-you chance to explore the Museum?
There go those hands again!

Among the things we’ve been working on over the past couple of months are self-guided brochures to help our visitors better enjoy their experience (and to help them find their way around, which is kind of important). We’d like to include photos of people enjoying our exhibits.
So, if you want to visit the Museum and are totally okay with having your photo in our brochures, give us a shout.
Because we haven’t yet got quite everything in place, we’re going to do this very carefully and observe pretty strict social distancing guidelines:
- You can only visit with people in your immediate social-distancing circle.
- Please delay your visit if you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms.
- Maximum five people in your group, please – many of our spaces are too small to accommodate more than that and still keep you and our staff person a safe distance apart.
- We’ll set up appointments – one group at a time so that there’s no risk of different households coming into contact with each other.
- One staff person will accompany you through the Museum, maintaining a safe distance, to take the photos. She will be wearing a mask.
- We’ll have hand sanitizer and masks available for your use, and all the doors open so you can go through the Museum without touching door handles and such.
Are you okay with that? Great! Book your visit by emailing crestonmuseum@telus.net, calling 250-428-9262, or sending us a private message through Facebook.
