Saturday, June 20 was to be the day of the annual garden festival – a chance to visit some of the Valley’s most spectacular gardens. That event, unfortunately, had to be cancelled (which seems terribly ironic, considering so many people have had so much extra time to spend on their gardens this year!). To help fill the void, though, we’re bringing you a whole week of garden-related goodies!
First up is a garden-related challenge in our ongoing series of challenges:
Today’s Challenge: POLLINATORS!
Pollinators are important, because without them, many food producing plants couldn’t do what they need to do to grow the food we need to eat! But pollinators, are busy things, and need lots to eat!
So here is your challenge:
–> Research and list three pollinators that are NOT honey bees
–> Plant a plant or garden with flowers that pollinators love!
–> Share a photo of your new plant or garden, and list on it the three new pollinators you learned about!
