In The Broussonian Brouhaha, the newspapers gave us enough information to piece together the whole story – but that’s not always the case! Here are a few examples of mysterious bits of news that have shown up in the old newspapers:

Canyon City News, Creston Review, 8 August 1913
Kitchener News, Creston Review, 26 March 1920
Creston Review, 4 April 1935

In each of these examples, there are no further details to explain the story. Evidently, there was a lot of turmoil on the Canyon school board, if its members were changing often – but what was it? Had something mysterious happened in Kitchener and a local resident was trying to figure it out? And who was Lazzlo de Chaby, and was someone really pretending to be his wife? Why on earth would she do that?

Since today is April Fool’s Day, it’s your turn to get creative! Can you write a story that explains any of these stories? Share it in the comments!
